The subtle decline of coworking spaces<\/a><\/p>\n

We did anticipated the coworking <\/em>trend quite clearly (and we\u2019re glad to ear the Arab World is also striving<\/em> to make innovations become a tangible\u00a0economy – after all InSideOut10, being the\u00a0major shareholder of an innovative egyptian company<\/a>, is proudly part of this process) and with the same confidence we can forecast its decline.<\/p>\n

Loosecubes<\/a>\u00a0a company that raised 9ml $ couldn\u2019t make the coworking business<\/strong>\u2026work<\/strong> (and just few weeks ago they closed their doors) due to a combination of factors that are hard to read outside of the \u201chome-dome<\/strong>\u201d (\u201chome-dome<\/em>”\u00a0being\u00a0the conditions even the bravest\u00a0entrepreneurs face when working from home<\/em> – in their sort of detached<\/strong>,\u00a0comfy\u00a0environment<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

The idea of a workplace has to be somehow different then these 1st generation of spaces<\/a> proposed (basically moving the “home\u201d into a larger space where single desks meet together doesn\u2019t really work – in the mid term<\/em>): we need to mix an high-class corporate experience<\/em>, the every-day \u201chome\u201d comfort<\/em> (linked with stunning HD telepresence<\/strong> – that preserves and\u00a0nurture<\/em>\u00a0who decides to avoid pollution<\/strong> and to remained buried in his\/her \u201chome\u201d) with the need for contemporary surprise<\/em> (what\u2019s on today? – what\u2019s the challenge we\u2019re here for?).<\/p>\n

A common focus after all (or even more then one) – something we share with the\u00a0environment\u00a0and the people – we \u201cchoose\u201d to have around us – is needed.<\/p>\n

From the architecture point of view the new \u201coffice\u201d<\/strong> is transparent<\/em> – data\u00a0whether\u00a0earned<\/em>, generated<\/em> or simply intercepted<\/em> is displayed on its floors and made\u00a0available\u00a0using laser led beams to the outside world.<\/div>\n
The work we do every day online keystroking\u00a0<\/strong>on our keyboards, or\u00a0gesturing<\/strong> on our tablets\u00a0shall find its own ambitious shape<\/em> in the real world<\/strong> – we need to conceive a \u00a0Second Life<\/em> of our digital World – a MURE<\/strong>: Multi-User Real\u00a0Environment<\/strong> (as opposed to MUVE<\/a>).
