The Knowledge Graph is a knowledge base used by Google to enhance its search engine’s search results with semantic-search information gathered from a wide variety of sources.<\/p>\n

Knowledge Graph display was added to Google’s search engine in 2012, starting in the United States, having been announced on May 16, 2012. It provides structured and detailed information about the topic in addition to a list of links to other sites.<\/p>\n

Besides Google, there are several knowledge\u00a0graphs are all around us (including\u00a0<\/span>DBpedia, Freebase, Wikidata\u00a0etc.). Based on W3C\u2019s Semantic Web Standards such graphs\u00a0can be used to <\/span>further enrich contents. <\/span><\/p>\n

WordLift, the plugin used on this blog creates its own\u00a0Knowledge\u00a0Graph<\/span> following the Linked Open Data\u00a0principles and interlinks other graphs such as DBpedia, Freebase, GeoNames and others).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n
